Publishers are continuing to fight to take control over how digital books are used and shared. Fortunately for us, it remains entirely possible to ignore them entirely, and make ebooks by hand that are free for everyone to use. In this talk, I will introduce you to a few different routes for making ebooks, each one at a different level of complexity and control, but all of them free and open-source.
